Hints to get more advertising to be sent to your mail box!!

When choosing the limited 15 interest Only, make sure you choose wisely.

My personal favorite 15 is the following selected ones.

1. What is Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and Pyramid Selling?

A Multi-Level Marketing or Pyramid Selling scheme will typically require participants to pay an upfront charge. In return, the participants are promised financial rewards for each additional participant recruited, as well as all new participants who are in turn brought in by their recruits - hence the pyramid-like structure.

In what is fast becoming an annual affair, the online touting of tickets for this year's National Day Parade (NDP) has begun in earnest — barely three weeks after the holders got their hands on the passes.
Taking a leaf from the organisers' marketing peg, the sellers are enticing buyers with the fact that it would be the last time that the parade would be held at the National Stadium before it is torn down to make way for a new sports hub.

The online bidding began as early as five days after the last of the NDP tickets were handed out on July 2, with touts hawking the passes for both the parade and its preview on popular auction sites eBay and Yahoo Auctions. A typical posting on eBay screamed: "Experience the National Day at our National Stadium for the Last Time! Do not miss the chance of a lifetime!"

A seller, who asked not to be named, said that he was selling the tickets for a friend. Said the 30 year-old IT consultant: "He needed two tickets but he just tried his luck and applied for six … so now he has four extra tickets. We might consider giving them away for free, especially when people have written in to us saying how badly they want to attend since it's the last time it's at the National Stadium." While they have "no intention to make a profit", he said, the starting bid for each ticket they are selling is $40.

As of yesterday, some 78 advertisements have popped up with the price of an NDP ticket going for as high as $175. A total of 200 bids have been made, with some sales already closed.

Even the NDP goodie bag — containing items including a cap, a flag and a torch — is up for sale for as much as $25, a slight increase from last year when it was going for $20.

Since 2003, NDP passes have been distributed by ballot and since then, ticket holders out to make a quick buck have swung into action. And the scale of such online hawking is on the rise, with the prices touted for the tickets also increasing steadily over the last three years. In 2003, a handful of tickets were reportedly going for between $30 and $50. Last year, the price range more than doubled at between $70 and $150.

And this year so far, the most expensive ticket stands at $175 while the cheapest is up for sale at $20. Preview tickets are touted at about half the price of the passes to the actual parade on Aug 9.

The stadium at Kallang seats 55,000 and this year, organisers of the parade received almost 400,000 applications for tickets — about 30 per cent more than last year. When contacted, a spokesperson said: "The NDP tickets are given free for the benefit of those who wish to attend the parade. The tickets are strictly not for sale. All Singaporeans should play a part by not offering a market to those who seek to profit from the event."

Those without the tickets could still watch the parade through "live" telecasts on television, the NDP website and various locations in Singapore, she added.

Mr Nelson Quah, a marketing manager in his 50s, thinks that the sale of NDP tickets should be stopped. He said: "Those who cannot go to the parade should return the tickets to the organisers so that these can be re-issued to others. Selling of tickets by whatever method should be made illegal."

Calling for the review of the distribution system to prevent the "abuse of free tickets", Mr Quah suggested: "In future, people should be allowed to apply for these tickets by calling a special telephone number. Each citizen should be eligible to apply for one ticket and he can also apply for his family members. To show that the applicant is serious about his applications he should be charged $1 for each call made via his telephone bill."
